Taiwan Weightlifter: 郭婞淳

郭婞淳 is the weightlifter of Taiwan. 2013 in Kazan and 2017 in Taipei she won the 58kg weightlifting medal for two competitions. Following her performance at the Universiade, she was awarded the Order of Brilliant Star.

Her family is not counted as rich, but is kind and always give help and support when other people need help. In 2016 January, she donates 1800,000 NT dollar to Tai-Tung 聖母醫院, but this hospital doesn't need to use ambulance so they give the money to 羅東聖母醫院 to that the hospital gets enough money to buy the ambulance.

In 2017 April 24, she wins Asian Weightlifting Championships with snatch 104 kg, clean and jerks 137 kg, the total of 241 kg that her got the gold medal. During this year, the total score according to three categories, she got the higher score than Olympic Gold Medalist- Sukanya Srisurat.

I think 郭婞淳 is a very persistent person. No matter what she does, she always try her best. So that she can achieve any goal she set up for her self. Being a weightlifter is not an easy thing, even is for a woman, it must have a very rigid discipline. I think if you want to be a successful woman weightlifter you need to put in a lot of hard work, just like 郭婞淳.

If you are a beginner, you should try something easy first. You can go to find a coach, or you can find a video like this and learn it by yourself. But if there are a coach will be better.

If you want to practice you can use a stick instead of dumbbell. It will be easier for beginner and is safer.

There are something you should be careful before you decide to become a weightlifter or when you are practicing. First, you need to know that you can't practice for 8 hour a day it is not the correct way, if you really do that you will hurt your self and it is not effective. Instead of practice 8 hours a day, you can practice 2 hours everyday, it is more effective and it will not hurt your self. In addition, you have to be a hard working person because if you want to be a professional weightlifter you have pay a lot of things, and it is really painful. Last, if you want to become a Olympic athlete the posture have to be correct, except for the posture you also need to raise the dumbbell quickly.

Overall, I think to be a weightlifter is very difficult, so I really admire them, not even the weightlifter, all the athlete.
